Jasper Morrison
Jasper Morrison was born in London in 1959. After studying design at Kingston Polytechnic, the Royal College of Art, and Berlin’s HdK, he established his Office for Design in London in 1986. His practice spans a wide array of disciplines, with projects ranging from furniture, lighting, and tableware to consumer electronics and public interiors. Driven by an understated, essentialist approach, his studio focuses on creating simple, familiar forms that integrate seamlessly into everyday life while remaining characterful and refreshing. He has collaborated with leading global manufacturers such as Vitra, Cappellini, Flos, Emeco, Magis, Maruni, Muji, and Alessi, producing iconic designs like the Thinking Man’s Chair, Glo-ball, and Hal family. His practice delivers timeless, highly functional solutions that transcend passing trends to offer enduring value for everyday living.
