Jin Kuramoto
Jin Kuramoto was born in Hyogo, Japan, in 1976. After graduating from Kanazawa College of Art and gaining eight years of experience as an in-house designer, he established JIN KURAMOTO STUDIO in Tokyo in 2008. His practice spans a wide array of disciplines, ranging from furniture and lighting to eyewear, electronics, and automotive design. Driven by a hands-on, experimental approach, his studio focuses on physical prototyping and material research to reveal structural possibilities and create form driven by narrative. He has collaborated with major global partners such as HAY, Offecct, Sika-Design, Honda, Nikon, Toyota, Sony, and Audio-Technica. Recognized through major international honors including Red Dot, iF, and Good Design awards, his practice delivers distinctive, highly functional solutions for contemporary production.
