Layla Mehdi Pour
Layla Mehdi Pour was born in Iran and is based in Turin, Italy. After studying Industrial Design at the University of Art in Tehran, she completed her education in Italy at IUAV University of Venice and Polytechnic University of Turin, specializing in Eco-efficient Product Design. Her practice spans product, tableware, clock, and acoustic design, focusing on reimagining everyday domestic objects through a blend of cultural references, poetic character, and emotional sensitivity. Driven by an experimental approach, her studio concentrates on balancing aesthetics and practicality to create adaptable, human-centered designs that spark interaction and surprise. She has collaborated with various design-driven brands and institutions, offering distinctive, enduring solutions that build warm, meaningful connections with users.
