Lucy Kurrein
Lucy Kurrein is an award-winning British furniture designer specializing in upholstered seating. Born in Yorkshire in 1985, she studied furniture design in Buckinghamshire before gaining industry experience with Matthew Hilton and Pearson Lloyd. In 2013, she established her independent practice, now based in Paris, with her projects ranging from domestic and hospitality furniture to workplace seating solutions. Driven by a balance between industrial manufacturing and tactile sensitivity, her studio focuses on refined silhouettes, material behavior, and ergonomic softness to offer physical and emotional comfort. She has collaborated with leading international brands such as SCP, Capdell, Heal’s, Molinari, Offecct, and NaughtOne. Recognized as Young Designer of the Year by Homes & Gardens, her practice delivers distinctive, enduring designs exhibited globally and featured in major international publications.
