Teruhiro Yanagihara
Teruhiro Yanagihara Studio (TYS) is an interdisciplinary design collective founded in 2002 by Teruhiro Yanagihara, operating between Kobe, Japan, and Arles, France. Bringing together an international team across Japan, France, the UK, and the Netherlands, the studio’s practice spans product and interior design, textiles, graphics, art direction, and spatial branding. Driven by a borderless, holistic approach, the studio focuses on merging experimental innovation and material research with emotional storytelling, crafting experiences that explore the intersections of craftsmanship, nature, atmosphere, and function. TYS has collaborated with leading global manufacturers and brands, including Kvadrat, 1616 / arita japan, Karimoku New Standard, Skagerak, Offecct, Mame Kurogouchi, and Kimura Glass. Through its dual-location creative platform, Vague, the studio continues to foster global artistic residencies and collaborative experiments that push the boundaries of contemporary design culture.
