The designer Mario Ferrarini describes the very essence of the sofa as “radical and honest, immediately recognizable with its strong and unique identity, yet honest with clearly visible elements in layers.” Nothing hidden, easy to understand. Clearly different.
Circulus can be dressed to feel at home in any environment. Eye-catching and inviting in the office, hotel lobby, coworking area, airport lounge or university campus. Intriguing and surprising. Flexibility for endless possibilities
The Circulus sofa system offers virtually unlimited possibilities to easily configure and tailor a sofa for any environment. You can play around with one, two and three seat combinations anyway you like, add high and low back rests, place in a row or with facing seats. Then add 74 frame colours and a multitude of fabrics and upholstery colours of your choice. You can do the math. The only limit is your imagination.
Circularity for endless life
Circulus is designed to enhance and bring life to public spaces, for decades. Easy to update, easy to repair. The unique upholstery design makes it possible to replace the upholstery on site, without special tooling. No glue, no staples, simply order a new upholstery and have it easily refurbished. The same goes for repairs. The Circulus sofa system is built up with few components, easily replaced with spare parts if needed.
As the name suggests, Circulus is designed with circularity at its core. Made from high-quality, durable materials and built with a robust design, it’s made to last a lifetime. The sofa features aluminium with 98% recycled content in moulded parts and 20% in sheets—a metal with virtually endless life in the recycling chain—and vital components in steel, containing 20% recycled material. The circular pattern not only defines the design identity but also reduces material usage and weight.
Circulus tics off all important environmental certificates. And when it eventually has reached the end of life, it easy to dismantle into its constituent materials for optimum recycling. Closing the circle to start a new life, in the shape of a new endless Circulus sofa.
